Opera Court
At the turn of the century it was the lobby of a former bank building; now you can sit in the beautiful Opera Court as if in a living room under the gilt-edged skylights of the five metre high stucco ceiling. Inspired by afternoon tea at the Rocco Forte Hotels' Brown's in London, credited by the Tea Guild as the best afternoon tea in London, here too you can relax in the peace and quiet and enjoy the classic British teatime in the winter months from 2 to 6 p.m. daily. We offer a choice of 23 loose leaf teas and a range of coffee specialities as well as a large selection of homemade cakes and flans.
Classic British Afternoon Tea
Small tea sandwiches, homemade scones with traditional clotted cream, brownies, apple crumble and New York cheesecake, rounded off with dainty petits fours, fancy cakes and pastries from our patisserie.
And coffee specialities, hot chocolate or choose from the many
exquisite loose teas.

Emil's Teatime
Inspired by Erich Kästner's wonderful story, where Emil has his money stolen
on his way to Berlin and then joins forces with local children from the city to catch the thief who is staying in a hotel. We serve apple pancakes, hot chocolate and chocolate lollies to delight our young guests and to crown it all there's an expedition of discovery to the vault and the secret safe deposit box.
And there's a book to go with it - to borrow, browse and read.
