Italian Glory with 'Faces of the Renaissance' at Hotel de Rome in Berlin
Berlin, June 2011 – For fans of exceptional art, Italian joie de vivre and Mediterranean gusto, Berlin’s Hotel de Rome - part of Rocco Forte Hotels - has put together a truly special package, honouring the city’s new exhibition Faces of the Renaissance - Masterpieces of Italian Portrait Art.
From August until November 2011, the beautifully restored Bode Museum will showcase over 150 masterpieces of Italian Renaissance art from collections of some of the world’s most renowned museums such as Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and the Gemäldegalerie in Berlin and will include major works by Sandro Botticelli, Giovanni Bellini and Leonardo da Vinci.
Located just minutes away from Berlin’s Museum Island, Hotel de Rome makes for the perfect base from which to explore this striking display of Italian art. As part of the hotel’s dedicated offer, guests will receive VIP tickets to the exhibition, therefore skipping any queues.
