Why not surprise your loved one with a romantic candlelight dinner at an unusual venue: the former bank vault. Surrounded by thick steel doors, in a place where treasures, jewels and gold were once kept, you can now spend time with your private "treasure" over an exclusive menu for two by candlelight.
Registry wedding
This very personal moment can also take place at the Hotel de Rome, as we cooperate with the Mitte registry office. The hotel offers several enchanting venues for this purpose. For example:
- Enjoy a summer evening on the roof terrace with a unique view over the roofs of Berlin, accompanied by saxophone music.
- Book one of the historical suites - located in the former bank directors' offices - with a view over Bebel Square.
Church wedding
Many of the most beautiful churches in Berlin are located in the immediate vicinity of the Hotel de Rome. When the weather is good, it is only a short walk to the hotel. On request, we can serve you a sparkling glass of champagne in front of the church immediately after the wedding service.

Bridal tea
And there is still soooo much to organise and to discuss with your girlfriends …. Why not meet for a bridal tea at the Opera Court before your big day. At the turn of the century, this was the lobby of the former bank building. Today, this beautiful room is used as a lounge, where you sit under the gold-rimmed skylights of the 5-metre-high stuccoed ceiling. Here you can enjoy daily afternoon tea, choosing from a total of 23 loose-leaf teas and various coffee specialities, as well as a large selection of homemade cakes.
Wedding breakfast
Before the wedding party disperses and the bridal couple leaves for the honeymoon, all guests can meet once more for a joint breakfast. We will reserve a separate salon for you for this purpose, prepare you a delicious breakfast buffet with sparkling wine or champagne and offer you the chance to spend a little more time together to review the previous day's wedding.
